Don’t turn political party a money making venture, Ganduje tell politicians

The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday called on highly placed politicians not to turn their political parties into a money making venture.
Speaking when the forum of concerned presidential candidates paid him a solidarity visit at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja, he urged politicians to remain faithful to their respective political platforms in the country.
He said he was in the know of a presidential candidate of 2023 general elections who not only hijacked his party structure but has gone out of his ways to turn it into a revenue generating outfit.
Ganduje who fell apart with his long time political associate and presidential candidate of the opposition New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) expressed gratitude to the presidential candidates over their contribution to the sustenance of democratic rule in the country.
Ganduje who promised to carry along members of the forum insist that insist that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was duly declared President in a free and fair election.
Said he: ” ” I am delighted that you all believe in democracy which was why you all agree with the results of the last elections acknowledged to be the most fairest election in the country. We are.also pleased that you decided not to join those presidential candidate that are challenging the results.
“This shows that you are real democrats. I must thank you for showing intention work with APC to sustain peace and stability in our country.
“We also thank you for being faithful to your respective parties. What I am saying is there is one political candidate who became a presidential candidate by accident, Who became a presidential candidate by hijacking another party because he was partyless.
“He was running a cult that could qualify to be a political party. So he decided to hijack a political party. And since, he could not realise his aspirations he decided to make that party a revenue platform rather than a political party.
“He has now decided to even expel the founder. God forbids. He will not succeed. You presidential candidates I salute you for being good ambassadors of your own political parties not destroyers of your own political parties.
“And not turning your political parties as a source of revenue by saying since you cannot get the presidential seat, you will get pocket ticket with it. I thank you.”
Amb Felix Osakwe Presidential candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), who spoke on behalf of the forum declared their support for the President Tinubu-led administration.
Saying they have the capacity and experience to help reposition the country, they pleaded to be carried along in the president Tinubu-led administration.
