Renowned Mavin Records in-house DJ, Nonso Temisan Ajufo, better known as DJ BigN, has shared his harrowing near-death experience during a robbery in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He revealed that while heading to a fancy lounge with friends, they were ambushed by two cars occupied by six armed men wielding automatic rifles.
In his attempt to escape, DJ BigN was shot in the leg, and one of the robbers held a rifle to his head, demanding his wristwatch, chain and jewellery.

He described the incident as a miracle, as the bullet narrowly passed through his leg, missing a major artery and bone, as confirmed by doctors.
“The experience changed my perspective on life. I lost over $114k worth of valuables that day, but I realized material possessions mean nothing. Life is fragile, and validation is meaningless. God gave me another chance, and I’m committed to living more authentically and appreciating life without unnecessary stress.
This event restored my focus and reminded me of what truly matters,” he said.
