When Jesus comes – Part 1

“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them a light has shined,” Isaiah 9:2.
Light is essential for productivity. When a man is walking in darkness what he needs is not criticism, but light. Are you walking in darkness and does not know what to do? The presence of Jesus comes with great light. Isaiah 2:4 reveals that when darkness covers a people their instrument for agriculture — sowing seed and harvesting — would be converted to instrument of war and violence. But when the light comes, they would convert their war instruments to instrument of sowing seeds and getting good harvest.
What has nature endowed you with and what have you converted it to? Are you using your endowment for that which will cure and satisfy the hunger and need of mankind? Or have you converted it to that which will slay and destroy humanity? God has blessed man with so many gifts: your vessel of the mouth, the vessel of strength, your talents, among others are all your divine assets for growth and productivity. What are you using them for?
The prophecy of Isaiah in (9:2) was fulfilled in Matthew 4:16 that says: “The people who were sitting (living) in (spiritual ) darkness have seen a great light, and for those who were sitting (living) in the land and shadow of (spiritual and moral) death, upon them a light has dawned.”
Jesus came and lived in the region of Capernaum, a sea coast in the border of Zebulon and Naphthalim; His presence fulfilled the prophecy and destroyed darkness. You need Jesus to come into that situation. If it is dark; then it needs Jesus!
The seaside has always championed the civilization of many cities and generations; it attracts many people with different cultural values and spiritual persuasion, but also responsible for the high rate of decadence and filthiness within so many regions. It was believed by many Bible commentators that the Jews where first captured by the Assyrians in this particular location and here the people forgot the law; but after several generations the first four disciples of Jesus were converted in this same place; this is not a coincidence, but divinely orchestrated. The place where the law was forgotten, when Jesus began begun to stay there, light automatically took over even as the Lord brought his first disciples to the saving knowledge of God.
Today many people are sitting in darkness; when you see them celebrate sin you should know that they are sitting in darkness; when you see them hate others for no reason, you should know that they are sitting in darkness. When you see them kill and loot, when you see greed ravaging the land know that they are sitting in darkness. Our duty as Christians and light bearers is to show the light. Show the light in act and work. Show the light through your good work. Through your action and attitude, through your charity and charisma; through our preaching and practices. Men need see God through us; as a child of God Jesus want to bring His light to your family and environment through you.
What To Do With The Light Jesus Brings:
Come let us walk in the light of the lord Isaiah 2:5b “The lord’s arrival comes with light. Those who walk in darkness have seen great light. May you see great light today.
