Odiboh gets full professorial chair

Prolific and versatile academic and industry professional, Oscar Odion Odiboh, has been appointed Professor of Mass Communication at Delta State University.

This appointment brings Professor Odiboh to the apogee of his academic career, after decades of excellent accomplishments both in the advertising industry as a thoroughbred professional and an equally distinguished academic career.

He had traversed renowned universities such as Covenant University and Edo State University until his latest appointment.

He is an acclaimed professional with a strong academic drive and a lifetime commitment to the advancement of his students all over the world.

He pioneered ‘Marketology’ as a philosophy of marketing communication and a new area of study globally.

He simultaneously taught marketing, mass communication, and advertising as a Visiting Senior Lecturer at three leading Nigerian universities.

He is a reviewer, Editor, Editor-in-Chief, and Member of several high-impact local and international academic journals.

Prof. Odiboh worked at Nigeria’s first advertising agency, Lintas Limited, where he established the country’s first research department in any advertising agency.

He remains a communication consultant to multinational companies such as Chevrolet’s General Motors of the USA and Mitsubishi of Japan, which are represented in Nigeria by CFAO, KEWALRAMS, etc.
He is the foremost resource person, researcher, and author in Nigeria’s automobile industry, where he has multiple awards as a marketing communication specialist and teacher.

He is a country consultant to US-based Percept Global Image and Europe-based OC&C and KEA Associates.
