Tosin Ojo partners with U.S. consulate to train 200 youths in Osun and Lagos, Nigeria

Tosin Ojo, a passionate advocate for STEM Education and data expert, has partnered with the U.S. Consulate Lagos to deliver a transformative digital skills program for Nigerian youth in Osun and Lagos States.

Through his nonprofit, the Digital Skills and Talent Foundation, Tosin Ojo was awarded the U.S. Consulate Lagos Public Diplomacy Section Funding Award— a strategic initiative aimed at promoting mutual understanding through educational and cultural exchange, entrepreneurship, and digital inclusion.

The four-month training program, scheduled to begin on September 6th, 2022, will equip 200 young Nigerians, particularly women, with marketable skills in: Website Development, Hardware Engineering, Cinematography, Digital Marketing

As part of the U.S. government’s commitment to fostering cultural ties and promoting American values, the program will feature a significant American cultural component. Notably, multi-award-winning U.S. filmmakers, the Konwiser Brothers — Kip and Kern — will be actively involved, providing mentorship and cinematic training to participants. The Konwiser Brothers are celebrated for their work in storytelling, documentary filmmaking, and creative production, and bring a wealth of experience to the program.

“This initiative is a bridge between cultures — empowering Nigerian youth with skills and global perspectives,” said Tosin Ojo. “It’s an honor to work with the U.S. Consulate and internationally recognized professionals like the Konwiser Brothers to shape the next generation of digital creatives and entrepreneurs.”
