Government bodies, corporate organisations, and well-meaning individuals have been urged to assist in the provision of learning materials to enhance the learning conditions of children in underserved communities.

The call was made by IUX Markets and SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria in a statement signed by SOS Children Villages Communication and Advocacy Leader, Rhoda Daniel Ocheme, where they pledged to transform learning experiences for students at Ikija Community School in Ogun State.

According to Ocheme, the partnership between both bodies under the theme “Bridging Youth Future” is aimed at empowering the children with essential learning tools to ensure that they are equipped to learn.

Ocheme noted that, through the partnership, IUX would be providing learning materials to enhance the learning conditions of children in underserved communities and support the ongoing contributions of SOS Children’s Villages in that location.

He added that the initiative is part of IUX’s broader campaign, which seeks to bridge educational gaps and foster youth development.

Also, the National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria, Eghosa Erhumwunse, stated: “The future of Nigeria’s children rests firmly in the hands of adults, as the adults bear the responsibility of shaping the environment in which they will grow and thrive.”

He said that the commitment demonstrated by IUX to enhance educational opportunities for Nigerian children is both commendable and aligned with the mission of our organization.

He said while the government remains the primary duty bearer for children’s welfare, the scale of the challenge often exceeds its capacity, hence the need for stakeholders to actively participate in this collective effort.
