Oluwayomi Itunuoluwa Deborah inaugurated as UN Women ambassador in Abuja

Pst. Mrs. Oluwayomi Itunuoluwa Deborah has been inaugurated as a United Nations Women’s Ambassador. The ceremony took place on June 21, 2025, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja.

Oluwayomi, widely known as “Mama Noble,” is the Creative Director of Noble Creations, a fashion enterprise based in Ilorin, Kwara State. She also leads the NC Skills Academy, through which she has trained over 500 women and youths in vocational skills, including fashion design, shoe and bag making, cake and pastry baking, jewellery creation, millinery, and makeup artistry.

In her remarks at the event, she said the appointment would strengthen her commitment to empowering women and youth. “This is not just a recognition; it is a call to deepen our impact and open more doors for women at the grassroots,” she said.

Oluwayomi also co-pastors Royal Priesthood Faith Ministry with her husband, Pst. Oluwayomi Johnson. She convenes the HERS Initiative, a network aimed at promoting personal growth and financial independence among businesswomen.

She described the appointment as “an opportunity to represent the values of empowerment and transformation on a global platform,” adding that she would continue advocating for inclusive economic opportunities for women.

Her appointment comes amid ongoing efforts by the United Nations to promote gender equality and economic empowerment across Africa.
