GVEST simplifies investment with digital cooperative

The Federal Palace Hotel & Casino, Lagos was the destination when GVEST, a cooperative platform built to democratise real estate investment and wealth creation through accessible property to all Nigerians hosted investors to a dinner recently.

The event which also featured the re-launch of Gvest App, had diverse investors from all walks of life: business owners, civil servants and serial investors looking for opportunities for diversification.

According to the Managing Director Gvest Global, Faroq Usman, overtime that real estate investment has become one of the safest vehicles of transfer of wealth. “Hence, this event is to educate investors on the Gvest cooperative; how it is developed and processed. Also, how the investment funds are used and how they get paid back.

“We know that people have encountered losses from diverse cooperative investments out there but what makes Gvest different from others is that people don’t just invest blindly based on mere talks, we own the assets that people are investing into. So not only is their investment being used, the physical assets they invest into is backed by their investment. They buy a property, and should there be challenges in the future they still get a property under any circumstance.”

He however noted that lack of process, structure and goal are the major reasons cooperative investments fail. “Of course, investments are always risky but Gvest has one of the safest, surest and most calculated investments,” Usman noted.

The MD who also spoke on the re-launched app said: “The new technology AI helps us scale at a higher rate and make investment more accessible. The previous Gvest app could only track investment, the new app re-launched does not only track investment but people can also apply for loans and funds. We have people who want to travel out of the country as cooperative members but do not have the finance, we provide statements to sponsor and assist them get their visas,” Usman said.
