Kaduna governor appoints Ben Kure as KSMC MD

Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has appointed Ben Dalhatu Kure as the Managing Director (MD) of Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC).

He replaced Ahmed Maiyaki, who was recently appointed the Commissioner for Information in the state.
Kure is expected to build on Maiyaki’s foundation, which has transformed the media corporation into a strategic vehicle for effective public information dissemination and management in the state.

Besides, according to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, Ibraheem Musa, Kure is a public communication expert and political strategist.

Musa said: “He will bring to his new assignment his wealth of experience in various fields, including public service and banking.”
It would also be recalled that Kure served as the Chairman of Jaba Local Government from 2016 to 2017, Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency from 2018 to 2019, and Special Adviser (Political Matters) to the Kaduna State Governor from 2019 to 2021.

“He was Branch Manager of Oceanic Bank PLC/ECOBANK Nigeria PLC from 2010 to 2012, Team Leader, Zenith Bank PLC from 2005 to 2006, and Team Leader (Public Sector), Broad Bank from 2003 to 2004,” the statement added. “Ben Kure holds a Master’s in Conflict, Peace and Strategic Studies, and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Geography and Planning. He is a Corporate Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), and Member, The Institute of Management Consultants (MIMC).

“While congratulating Mr. Ben Kure on his well-deserved appointment, Governor Uba Sani wished him God’s guidance and protection.”
