Dr Eigbedion bags AAUMSA recognition award

The Ambrose Alli University Medical Students Association (AAUMSA), the umbrella body for about 1000 Medical Students of the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, has conferred an award of recognition to their Staff Adviser,
Dr Andrew Eigbedion on the occasion of their 2024/2025 Annual General Meeting & Dinner night.

The Award/Dinner Nite was held at the Conference Hall of the Medical & Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN) Irrua Chapter on the 9th of August, 2025.

Speaking at the event, the outgoing President of the AAUMSA, Hon Harrison Ibadin extolled the sterling qualities of Dr Andrew Eigbedion and his contributions to the growth of the Association.

The outgoing Vice President and Organizing Chairperson of the AAUMSA Health Week 2025 in the person of Comrade Sey Stephanie Maame-esi, also expressed her gratitude to Dr Andrew Eigbedion for his mentorship to the generality of the Medical Students of the Ambrose Alli University and his contribution to the success of the just concluded AAUMSA Health Week.

She expressed her admiration for the award recipient as an enigma to the AAUMSA as well as the College of Medicine. She noted that Dr Andrew Eigbedion is a global brand whose influence was beyond the College of Medicine of the Ambrose Alli University as she referenced his first ever scientific post on the Social Media platform called Tik-Tok where Dr Andrew Eigbedion also known as Dr PoskyEnsured has received over 2,000,000 (two million) views in less than 3 weeks of his first ever post on the social media platform.

Dr Andrew Eigbedion who was also the Chairman at the Dinner & Award Nite expressed his gratitude to the Association for the honour done to him and promised to continue to give his best services for the growth and upliftment of the AAUMSA.

The 2025 AAUMSA Week was attended by over 700 participants throughout the duration of the week-long events.

It was a time to be heard from the breath taking decorations to the delicious three course meals to the amazing audience.

The Health Week which was themed: SANITY IN MEDICINE; SCRUB IN, STRESS OUT was a week-long celebration of activities that included;

>A symposium themed: More than Medicine; unveiling the multifaceted Medic. The Symposium consisted of Speakers including Dr Andrew Eigbedion who enlightened the Medical Students on the realities of life beyond Medicine and how to create a balance between the profession and other endeavors.
> A basic life support training session where Medical Students were taught the basics of Life Support and Resuscitation techniques. Certificates were also given to participants.

>A Medical rally on Substance Abuse, themed; HIGH ON LIFE, NOT ON DRUGS.

>A fun festival

>An Award/masked ball Dinner Nite.

These activities spanned from Tuesday August 5th to Saturday 9th August, 2025.
