Visual artist and art photographer, Olalekan Adetunji, has been nominated for the Award of Excellence in Photography at the Eko Heritage Award 2025.

The award recognises individuals who have made significant contributions to the preservation and promotion of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage through their work.

Olalekan, drawing on his Nigerian background, has been capturing emotionally resonant moments rooted in culture and human connection through his photography since 2017. His powerful documentation of the Osun Osogbo Festival showcases the vibrant colours, traditions, and deep cultural significance of the event, highlighting his thoughtful and observant style.

His nomination for the Eko Heritage Award 2025 is a testament to his dedication to preserving and promoting Nigeria’s cultural heritage. He is nominated alongside Olamide Bakare, Ibukun Oparinu, Oluwatosin Bakre, and Kester Kanayo Onyemaechi.
