Nigerian entrepreneur Michael Onyeachor is making waves in the real estate sector by helping young Nigerians overcome barriers to property ownership in a market often regarded as unaffordable.
Onyeachor, a Sociology graduate from the University of Ilorin, co-founded Besitz Group in 2022 alongside Isa Abass Usman. The company focuses on making land and housing more accessible, particularly for millennials and Gen Z Nigerians.
“We believe owning a home shouldn’t just be for the wealthy. Everyone deserves a place they can call their own,” Onyeachor said, highlighting the firm’s commitment to inclusivity in the property market.
Initially launched in Abuja, Besitz Group has expanded operations to Port Harcourt and Benin, serving over 1,000 clients both within Nigeria and abroad. Onyeachor attributes the company’s rapid growth to simplicity and transparency in its processes. “We’re not just selling land—we’re helping people own it,” he said.
The entrepreneur also emphasized that Nigeria’s housing challenges affect all age groups, prompting the company to broaden its offerings to cater to diverse income levels. Besitz Group’s approach, Onyeachor explained, combines affordability with accessibility, aiming to reduce obstacles that often prevent young people from entering the property market.
With its expansion and growing client base, Besitz Group is positioning itself as a notable player in Nigeria’s real estate sector while promoting property ownership among younger generations.
