The Massive Music Foundation has launched, following its announcement on September 12, 2025, through an Instagram post by Nigerian-born, United Kingdom-based Disc Jockey, producer, and educator Onlyonemassive.
The initiative marks a new chapter in his journey as a mentor and creative leader, created to give young talents access, mentorship, and resources that often feel out of reach in the country’s music industry. Its first major move will be sponsoring four beginner DJs in Nigeria with scholarships worth one million naira.
The scholarships will provide three months of intensive training at The Vibes DJ Academy, alongside extra benefits designed to help recipients grow both technically and professionally. It is the latest step in a mission that began not with headlines or big stages, but with a borrowed laptop and a dream.
For Onlyonemassive, the story behind the foundation is deeply personal. “My first DJ controller came after borrowing money from a friend, he shared. I know what it feels like to have the passion but no support. That is why this foundation exists: to give hope, opportunity, and a platform for young talents.”
The foundation is not starting from scratch. Its impact was already felt last year through the #NeverGiveUp DJ Challenge, a competition that gave DJs across Nigeria the chance to showcase their talent, build confidence, and access real opportunities.
With the launch of the Massive Music Foundation, that mission takes on a wider scope. The initiative will not only continue to sponsor DJs through training programs but also expand its reach to other music creatives. Onlyonemassive, who has spent more than a decade in the global music scene, is known for fusing African rhythms with electronic sounds across afro house, tech house, and house music. Beyond performance, he has built a legacy in education as co-founder of The Vibes DJ Academy in Nigeria, where he has mentored over 500 DJs worldwide. His new foundation represents the evolution of this commitment.
As he explained during the launch, the journey is just beginning. “This is something very close to my heart. Together, we can create more opportunities for young talents worldwide,” he said.
