Lions Club visits schools, donates learning materials

In line with its humanitarian objectives of “empowering lives, enriching communities”, the Eko Royal Lions club, Lagos, recently distributed essential learning materials to pupils of Adeniyi Jones Primary School and St. Peters Primary School, both in Lagos

The items included: exercise books, mathematical sets, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, pens and rulers among others.

The excited pupils expressed their gratitude to the club with some of them even dancing and singing.

The head teachers of both schools extended their sincere appreciation to the club for the thoughtfulness and generosity. They commended the club’s commitment to supporting education and empowering young minds.

Also, the Club visited the Pacelli School for the Blind and Partially Sighted Children on Thursday to share breakfast meals with the students and teachers.

Its President, Shakirat Arowosaye, encouraged the pupils not to look down on themselves and but they should always take up opportunities presented to them. This inspiring message was aimed at empowering the pupils and boost their confidence.

The visit was a meaningful experience for the club members and the school community. It highlighted the importance of community service and the positive difference that can be made through collective efforts.
