Methodist Church mobilises reception for Tinubu in Aba

As the people of Abia State await President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today in the commercial city of Aba to commission road projects completed by the state Governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, the Methodist Church Nigeria, Archdioceses of Umuahia and Aba, under the leadership of His Grace, The Most Rev. (Dr) Chibuzo Raphael Opoko; and His Grace, The Most Rev. Dr Godfrey Agupusi, have called on members of the church and other Christians to come out in large numbers to welcome Tinubu to the state.

The church described the historic visit as a testament to the renewed partnership between the Federal Government and Abia State, symbolising growth, progress, and a shared vision for sustainable development.

The church, while expressing appreciation to the President for honouring Abia State with his presence, commended Governor Alex Otti for his bold strides in repositioning Aba as an economic hub of the South-East and beyond.

The church stated: “We, therefore, call on all Methodist faithful, ministers, laity, youth groups, women, and the entire Christian community, to turn out in large numbers.”

Let us join hands with the governor and people of Abia State to accord Mr President a befitting reception that reflects the warmth, spirit, and hospitality of Abia.”

The President, during his visit, will commission the Port Harcourt Road (dual carriageway of three lanes, each with modern drainage); Ohanku Road; Ndoki Road; Ajiwe Street; Umuatako Road; Chief Nkoro Street and Spurs, Abayi, Aba and Gabriel Nwosu Street.
