LSSTF boss deploys team to monitor security assets

Ogunsan

The Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr Ayo Ogunsan, has formally deployed the LSSTF monitoring team, charging its members to deliver on their mandate of ensuring accountability, transparency, and effective utilisation of public resources allocated to security agencies operating in Lagos State.

The event, which took place at the LSSTF Headquarters, marks a decisive step in fulfilling the transparency promise of the Executive Secretary/CEO of LSSTF, aimed at reinforcing public confidence in the Fund.

During the event, a security expert, Adeniran Israel Samson, was unveiled as the Head, Field Operation Office for the LSSTF Monitoring Team, with the presentation of a brand-new operational vehicle to enhance mobility and efficiency in the discharge of its responsibilities.

Ogunsan, while speaking during the deployment, reiterated his firm commitment to accountability, reminding the team members that their work must uphold the trust reposed in the Fund and the Lagos State Government by corporate donors, and well-meaning individuals.

He said: “This monitoring team is not ceremonial. You are being deployed to ensure strict compliance, value for money, and responsible use of all assets provided to our security agencies. The credibility of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund rests on how well we safeguard and account for the resources entrusted in us. Discharge your work effectively.”

The constitution and deployment of the monitoring team fulfill a pledge made by Ogunsan at the Strategic Media Parley with Senior Editors and Media Executives held at the LSSTF Headquarters on December 5, 2025, in which he resolved to ensure that every naira donated translates into enhanced security and safety for residents of Lagos State.
