NCAT retains ICAO platinum status

NCAT

The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, has retained the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Training Centre of Excellence (TCE) Platinum Status for six consecutive years.

ICAO TCE is the highest achievement/award level in the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Programme globally.

Commenting on the retention, the Rector of NCAT, Dr Danjuma Ismaila, said the institution was deserving of retaining its status.

According to Ismaila, NCAT retained its status due to the performance and deep knowledge of its instructors, whom he described as outstanding in the discharge of their duties.

He maintained that ICAO reserves the conferment of this highest award only for globally adjudged training centres that demonstrate outstanding adherence to its standards and recommendations.

As a result, NCAT has now retained the Training Centre of Excellence: Platinum Status (TCE Platinum Status) for the sixth time (2021–2026).

NCAT is among the few institutions that have retained this status for so long.

Ismaila added: “This, indeed, is a product of hard work, effective managerial leadership and diligent adherence to the highest standards in the delivery of all classroom and virtual training, as obtained in the college.”
