Delta State Commissioner of Police, Aina Adesola, has led members of the command’s top management team, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, and other senior officers to Ozoro, Delta State over alleged sexual harassment in the community.
The CP condemned the acts in totality and reassures the public that the Command remains resolute in its determination to ensure that all those involved are identified, arrested, and prosecuted in accordance with the law. Members of the public, particularly victims and witnesses, are once again encouraged to come forward with credible information that will aid ongoing investigations. The Command assures that all information provided will be treated with strict confidentiality.
Meanwhile, the Delta State Police command has again demonstrated its commitment to the war against sales of Illicit drugs through proactive Policing.
On March 17, 2026, operatives of DOPS Bufallo patrol team in a combined effort with members of Achalla Ibusa Vigilante in a sting operation stormed the residence of a drug baron popular called ‘Madam do good’ at Power line Axis in Asaba and recovered illicit susbstance such as Ice, Collorado, Canadian Loud, weed suspected to be Indian Hemp, tramadol. During the operation, four suspects, namely, Faith Uyaterimo, Peter Nnamani, Paul Nnamani, Abuchi Miracle and three others were arrested. Suspects and exhibits are in custody while the investigation is ongoing.
On March 19, 2026, at about, acting on credible intelligence relating to activities of one Ovie Ejeh (male), aged 18 years, of No 12 Agbasa Community, Warri, a suspected cultist, was said to be acting in a suspicious manner along Wangwe College, Warri. Upon receipt of this information, operatives of Ekpan Police Station stormed Wangwe College, where the suspect was arrested. During a search of his person, one locally fabricated cut-to-size single-barrelled gun with two live cartridges was recovered. Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to being a member of a cult group. Suspect and exhibit have been taken into custody.
The CP during the last officers’ conference mandated DPOs and tactical commanders to embrace a proactive policing strategy, noting that in modern Policing, it’s the way to go about crime fighting. The CP also warned that drug dealers will be fished out of their place of abode, arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law
