United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) has appointed Adedayo Olawuyi as its Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).

Olawuyi held the same position at Uganda Airlines before the new appointment.

A statement yesterday by the Public Relations Officer (PRO), UNA, Chibuike Uloka, said that Olawuyi’s appointment reinforces the airline’s commitment to strengthening its commercial operations and driving sustainable growth in the carrier.

Olawuyi, he said, brings over 18 years of extensive experience in the aviation industry, with a strong track record in commercial strategy, network and schedule planning, revenue management, and business development.

Prior to joining United Nigeria Airlines, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Uganda Airlines.

He also held senior leadership positions at Africa World Airlines (AWA), Ghana, including Head of Commercial, and served as Head, Business Intelligence & Strategy at EAN Aviation Limited.

Earlier in his career, he held multiple roles at Air Nigeria (formerly Virgin Nigeria Airways), spanning commercial planning, network analysis, and ground operations.

Olawuyi holds an Executive Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics from the University of Ibadan.

He has also completed several professional development programmes with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and other global aviation institutions. United Nigeria Airlines is confident that his experience and leadership would enhance our commercial performance and support the achievement of our strategic growth objectives.

His appointment is expected to further position United Nigeria Airlines for improved market competitiveness, enhanced customer experience, and expanded route offerings within and beyond Nigeria.
