The Ogun State Government on Tuesday commissioned the ATC Business and Industrial Park in Oderemo, Remoland, and flagged off the development of a shopping mall within the facility, in a move aimed at boosting industrialisation and economic growth.
Governor Dapo Abiodun, who was represented by the Commissioner for Works, Adebowale Akinsanya, said the project aligns with the state’s economic agenda of attracting investment, creating jobs, and improving the standard of living.
He described the park as a strategic initiative that would provide a structured hub for industries and commercial activities, adding that it would stimulate small and medium enterprises while drawing both local and foreign investors.
The governor commended the Chairman of Abejoye Trading Company (ATC), Oladipo Odujinrin, for what he called a visionary project that supports the state’s position as a leading industrial destination in Nigeria.
According to him, the facility would also drive community development in Oderemo and its environs through increased commerce, skills development, and improved livelihoods.
In his remarks, Odujinrin said the project represents a major milestone in private-sector-led infrastructure development, noting that the industrial park is already operational and attracting international investors.
He disclosed that the 10-acre facility has four acres fully developed, with three warehouses currently occupied by foreign-owned companies, while core infrastructure such as roads, power supply, and administrative buildings has been completed.
Odujinrin said the park’s proximity to the Gateway International Airport in Iperu/Ilishan, Lagos, and the proposed Olokola Deep Sea Port positions it as a key logistics and industrial hub.
He added that the second phase of the project, covering six acres, would include a shopping mall, a four-star hotel, and mixed-use developments, offering opportunities for joint ventures and other forms of investment.
The mall project was formally flagged off at the event, attended by government officials, traditional rulers, investors, and community leaders.
The ATC Business and Industrial Park is designed to support logistics, manufacturing, warehousing, and commercial activities, with stakeholders expressing optimism that it would accelerate economic development in Ogun State.
