New dawn for content creators in Nigeria as EMCOAN inaugurates leaders

It was a historic moment at the EMCOAN Secretariat on Thursday, May 7, as the Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria ushered in a new era of leadership.

In an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared vision, the association concluded its elections, producing a team ready to navigate the evolving landscape of digital and terrestrial content.

The newly elected executives were officially sworn by industry figures and Board Of Trustee (BOT) members, Agatha Amata of Inside Out Media Ltd. and High Chief Emeka Ossai, a popular actor/producer and MD, Golden Pyramids Production, signaling a seamless transition of power and a renewed commitment to the association’s mission.

The 2026 to 2028 Executive Council, headed by the returning President, Mr. Adeniji Omirin (MD, Adnom Media Ltd), brings together a wealth of experience across the media spectrum.

Alhaja Aminah Muhammad (MD, Aims Media Company Ltd.) as the Vice President and Mr. Alayande Stephen T. (MD, Eagles House Global Resources) as the General Secretary to the broader cabiinet members, the team represents a blend of innovation and tradition. The exco also includes a diverse group of industry players who has contributed and still contributing to its growth.

Mrs. Adeola Dada (MD, Charis Media Consulting Ltd.) also returned as the Assistant General Secretary, while Dr. Anita Agarry-Oke (MD, Zee Media Services Ltd.) also returned for as the Financial Secretary, Mrs. Elizabeth Ehigiamusoe, (MD, Vivid View With Ehiliz Ltd. ) was voted as the Treasurer, while Mr. Sebastine Okoromi (MD, Romistine Media Ltd.) took over the position of the Public Relations Officer (PRO). The other two executives were Hajia Latifah Dele-Lawal (MD, HT Ventures Ltd) who was elected as the Social/Welfare Secretary, to be assisted by Mrs.Stella Maris Duru (MD, Chuchin Ultimate Productions Ltd..) as the Assistant Social/Welfare Secretary. In the words of the President, Mr. Adeniji Omirin, “as seasoned leaders within the EMCOAM family, our commitment remains steadfast: to protect the interests of our members, as well as electronic media content creators in Nigeria while driving innovation in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

“Let me also say that work begins earnestly to tackle industry challenges and harness new opportunities for Nigerian content creators globally,” he said.
