The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and its Trade Union Congress (TUC) may soon embark on a nationwide strike to protest ongoing insecurity in the country.

President of NLC, Joe Ajaero stated this earlier today in Geneva, Switzerland at the ongoing International Labour Conference (ILC).

The labour centres also called on the Federal Government to begin the process for the commencement of the renegotiation of the National Minimum Wage which is expected to emerge next year July.

The labour movement also rejected legislation of the new wage, insisting on negotiations to arrive at acceptable figure.
