The Niger Delta Students Union Government (NIDSUG) has called on all students in the region to embrace unity and support the new administration led by Comrade Adighibe Ikechukwu.

This is just as the union said a new era of unity, reconciliation, and collective purpose has begun, following the successful inauguration of its 7th National Executive Council in Umuahia, Abia State.

The historic inauguration of Comrade Adighibe Wisdom Ikechukwu, an illustrious son of Abia State and the first National President from the Eastern axis of the Niger Delta, marks not only a significant milestone in the history of the union but also the beginning of a renewed commitment to peace, inclusiveness, and progressive leadership.

“The leadership of NIDSUG is delighted to state that all previously aggrieved parties and concerned stakeholders have embraced the spirit of reconciliation by setting aside their differences in the collective interest of the union. This renewed understanding reflects the shared commitment of all members to place the welfare and aspirations of Niger Delta students above individual interests.

“The union recognises that differences of opinion are a natural part of every democratic process. However, the ability to resolve such differences through dialogue, mutual respect, and a common vision demonstrates the maturity and strength of NIDSUG as the foremost umbrella body representing students across the Niger Delta region.

“To the Immediate Past National President Scott Mog Ogunseri and members of the immediate past National Executive Council, we sincerely appreciate your leadership, commitment, and cooperation throughout the transition process. Your willingness to ensure a peaceful and seamless transfer of leadership reflects your enduring love for our great union. We shall continue to rely on your experience and guidance as we move NIDSUG forward,” the group stated.

The National Executive Council of the Niger Delta Students’ Union Government (NIDSUG) Led by Comr Adighibe wisdom ikechukwu, further extend their profound appreciation to Comr. Romeo Kemepadei for his exemplary commitment to peace, unity, and the preservation of the integrity of our great union throughout the recently concluded electoral process.

“At a time when divergent interests could have deepened divisions within our union, his decision to reject every invitation to conduct or support a parallel convention demonstrated uncommon leadership, maturity, and an unwavering
commitment to the unity of NIDSUG. His actions placed the collective interest of the Union above every personal or political consideration, thereby contributing immensely to the peaceful and successful transition of leadership.

“The entire leadership and membership of the union are therefore united in their support for the administration of Comrade Adighibe Wisdom Ikechukwu, pledging to work collaboratively towards promoting quality education, student welfare, youth empowerment, leadership development, and sustainable progress throughout the Niger Delta.

“NIDSUG calls on all students, stakeholders,Life members, partners, and friends of the union to continue supporting the present administration as it strives to deliver purposeful, transparent, and inclusive leadership for the benefit of every Niger Delta student.
