The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Idris Aregbe, has unveiled the Renewed Hope Creative and Innovative Hub, an initiative aimed at equipping young people with skills, entrepreneurship opportunities, mentorship and digital innovation to prepare them for the future economy.
Aregbe, a youth development advocate and All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholder, said the initiative was conceived to empower young Nigerians by providing a platform where creativity, innovation and enterprise can thrive, in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the Lagos State Government’s THEMES+ development agenda.
In a statement he made available to newsmen yesterday, the governor’s aide, who described the hub as a strategic investment in the future of young Lagosians, said it would serve as a centre for nurturing talents, promoting self-reliance and creating opportunities for aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators and creative minds.
“The hub is built for the young and the vibrant, the dreamers and the doers, who possess talent, passion and bold ideas but need the right platform to succeed,” he added.
According to him, the facility will provide training in creative and digital skills, mentorship, entrepreneurship development and leadership engagement, while creating pathways to employment and sustainable livelihoods for participants.
Aregbe noted that the project is designed to develop future-ready talents, connect young party members with leadership, foster collaboration across industries and transform innovative ideas into viable enterprises.
He said the initiative reflects a commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders and nation-builders, stressing that investing in youth remains critical to the social and economic development of Lagos State and Nigeria.
The APC stakeholder commended Tinubu for championing the Renewed Hope Agenda, which he described as a roadmap for national development through youth inclusion and economic empowerment.
He also praised Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his commitment to youth development and acknowledged the support of the Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, whom he described as a strong advocate of good governance and youth-focused policies.
