CityBoy Movement disowns ‘CityBoy Likeminds,’ warns against unauthorized group in Ogun

The CityBoy Movement in Ogun State has disowned a group known as “CityBoy Likeminds,” declaring that it is not affiliated with or recognised by the organisation at any level of its structure.

In a statement signed by its General Secretary, Adeyemi Ajasa, the movement said CityBoy Likeminds was not part of its national, zonal, state, local government, ward or polling unit structures and warned members of the public against associating it with the group’s activities.

Ajasa stressed that there is only one recognised CityBoy Movement with an established organisational framework across the country, noting that any group operating outside the official structure should not be mistaken as representing its leadership, ideals or programmes.

He cautioned the promoters of the CityBoy Likeminds to immediately desist from actions capable of creating confusion, misinformation and unnecessary distractions among members and supporters of the movement in Ogun State.

“The said group is neither affiliated with nor recognised by the CityBoy Movement at the national, zonal, state, local government, ward or polling unit levels,” the statement read.

According to him, the activities of unauthorised groups are counterproductive to the unity and collective vision of the movement.

TheCityBoy Movement reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots mobilisation, political enlightenment and strategic engagement across the state’s 20 local government areas, 236 wards and polling units in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Ajasa said the movement remained focused on strengthening its structures and intensifying mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections to ensure the successful re-election of President Tinubu and other candidates of the ruling party in Ogun State.

He urged members, coordinators, stakeholders and the general public to disregard any unauthorised group claiming to represent the CityBoy Movement outside its officially recognised structure and to continue engaging with the legitimate leadership of the organisation.
