Presidential spokesperson Daniel Bwala said Nigerian Democratic Congress presidential candidate Peter Obi will soon endorse President Bola Tinubu, to the detriment of his supporters, popularly known as Obidients.

According to him, Obidients have been angry since Governor Adeleke reaffirmed his endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for a second term.

Adeleke declared his endorsement of the President following his victory at last Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.

“At this point, I must deeply appreciate Mr. President, His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his strong support for a free and fair election.

“Mr. President is a son of Osun State, and I hereby reaffirm my earlier endorsement of him for a second term in the 2027 presidential election,” he said.

This generated backlash from Obidients who felt Adeleke betrayed the people of Osun State by giving the glory of his victory to Tinubu instead of citizens of the state.

Reacting, Bwala shared on X, “Obidients are angry with Gov Adeleke for endorsing @officialABAT. They want to reap where they did not sow. Very soon their eyes would clear when @PeterObi endorses President Tinubu.”
