American International Christian University (AICU) has just concludedits yearly World Youth Conference in Kono District, Sierra Leone, tagged “Kono Youth Fire Crusade” with the theme: “Supernatural Outpouring That Breaks Yokes.”

Third in the series, the event aimed at reigniting and sustainingyoung people’s faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ. Coming on the heels of a similar one held in the United States of America in 2024, followed by the Nigerian version, the event achieved a huge success in the three nation’s major campuses in 2025.

Just like the previous ones, the purpose of the Kono outing was for the youths to be commited to Jesus Christ. It also aimed at edifying and galvanising the Gen Zs on how to mature their faith, aside encouraging participants to move from passive engagement to an active one with the Great Commission in mind.

According to AICU Founder and President, Pastor Akinsola Ojo Kings, the event served as an avenue for the youths to explore their purpose in life, search for the truth and achieve true spirituality.

He said: “The time has come for a global community of Christian youths to take their place in life and positively influence the society.”

In his address titled, “Equipping The Saints,” King emphasised that the crusade was designed to equip the youths with new character, new authority, spiritual armour and compassion for souls.

King revealed that Day 2 was dedicated to Ministers of God, stressed that effectiveness in ministry is determined by how adequately equipped the ministers are, before they started propagating the words of God.

This is why, he said, God is raising ministers who are equipped by the word, empowered by the spirit, sustained by prayer.

Grounded in character, operatingunder authority, fortified by armour and driven by compassion.

Crowning his address, he identified lack of gifted and faithful steward as a tragedy in christendom, adding that this can be avoided by required consecration and accountability to only the AlmightyGod.

Plans are already in top gear to host another edition in Ghana next year.
