The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has kicked against the banishment of an Accord Party supporter, Ms. Adeola Idowu Adegoke, from Ilase community in Osun State.

In a statement signed by the spokesperson, Pelumi Olajengbesi Esq., the council said allegations surrounding the woman’s predicament pointed to Senator Francis Fadahunsi and Hon. Wole Oke.

TICC said the Accord Party supporter’s shop was allegedly looted, adding that she and her mother were summoned and told to leave the community unless she agreed to work politically for Fadahunsi and Oke.

“Under pressure, she agreed to support Senator Fadahunsi but declined to campaign for Hon. Wole Oke, and yet she was ordered to leave Ilase. This is not possible in a democracy.

“I call on Senator Fadahunsi and Hon. Wole Oke because their names are being invoked. If these actions were taken without their knowledge or authority, they must immediately call those responsible to order,” the council said.

TICC stated that no citizen should be intimidated, banished or deprived of their livelihood because of their political choice, because it is ungodly, unacceptable and contrary to law.

“Politics must never descend to this level.

“We must never use political power or influence to intimidate, punish or destroy the livelihood of any citizen because of political differences,” TICC said.
