‎The Osogbo Peace Club of Nigeria has awarded N525,000 in cash prizes to winners of its 2026 BetterME Tournament, which brought together over 70 youths in Osogbo, Osun State.

‎The one-day tournament, held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at DQ Space, Segmat Plaza, Dada Estate, Osogbo, Osun State, featured a series of written and oral challenges based on the BetterME Model developed under the World Peace Initiative Foundation, Thailand.
‎
‎The BetterME Tournament is a youth-focused personal development initiative that uses interactive and competitive activities to encourage participants to reflect on their habits, develop self-awareness and cultivate practical skills for personal growth.
‎
‎The competition provided participants with an opportunity to test their knowledge and understanding of the BetterME Model while engaging with issues around personal development and peaceful living.
‎
‎Speaking at the event, co-organizer and BetterME Coach Michael Ajayi said, “BMT is more than a competition; it is a journey of growth, discipline, and self-discovery.”
‎
‎The programme also featured a session by ASP E.O. Giwa-Alade, Deputy Police Public Relations Officer and State Coordinator of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices, who spoke to participants on youth advocacy, peacebuilding and the prevention of cultism, drug abuse and other social vices.
‎
‎Victoria Olugbade emerged as the overall winner of the tournament and received a cash prize of N300,000, while Oluwole Royal came second and was awarded N150,000. Eniola Lateefah finished third and received N75,000.

‎The tournament was supported by United Bank for Africa, Heirs Insurance, JCI Osogbo Central, YALI Network Osun, Elite Wave Branding Company, Deftsage Global Logistics Company, The Sapphires Development Initiative, CrystalBot Media and Digital Agency, the Nigeria Police Force and POCACOV.
