In a remarkable show of community impact, the Skyewise Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, has extended its educational support to students of Government Secondary School, Gosa, a community along Airport Road, Lugbe, in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), through its Back-to-School Project.

The initiative directly benefited over 2,000 students from JSS 1 to JSS 3, who received essential learning materials, including exercise books, pens, rulers and erasers, to support their studies and encourage effective learning.

Speaking on the significance of the project, the Founder of the Skyewise Foundation and CEO of Skyewise Group, Dr. Elvis Abuyere, said his personal experience of growing up without a silver spoon inspired his commitment to giving back to society.

According to him, the initiative was not merely about distributing educational materials but also about encouraging young people to believe in themselves and their dreams.

“This project is more than just a distribution of school items. It is about reminding our children that they matter, that their dreams are valid, and that the Skyewise Foundation is rooting for them to succeed and become useful to themselves and society,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, the Vice Principal of the school, Bala Titus, commended the foundation for its intervention, describing the gesture as an investment in the future of the students.

“Education remains the strongest weapon for change. What the Skywise Foundation has done today is not just an act of charity but an investment in the future of these students as a whole. We encourage more stakeholders to emulate this gesture.

“We thank the management of the Skyewise Foundation for remembering us. We do not take this rare act of kindness for granted,” he said.

Titus also appealed to the government to come to the aid of the school, noting that it lacked some basic facilities, including adequate chairs and tables for the students.

The foundation’s Brand Ambassador, Osazee Samuel Aikhionbare, popularly known as MC Papi, also urged the students to take their studies seriously, stressing that commitment to education remains essential to achieving success in their academic pursuits.

Other notable personalities who accompanied the foundation to the school for the exercise included Nigeria Info FM Abuja presenter, Emmanuel Olaoluwa Aduralere Abimbola, popularly known as El-Effizy, youth leaders in the FCT and other dignitaries.
