The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has called on corporate organisations across the country to intensify their contributions to employment generation and economic growth.

Ladoja made the call when the management of Seven-Up Bottling Company, led by its Managing Director, Mr Sari El-Khalil, paid him a courtesy visit at his palace in Oke-Aremo, Ibadan.

The monarch lauded Seven-Up Bottling Company for its contribution to the Nigerian economy, particularly through employment generation and human capital development.
He described the company as one of the major employers of labour in Nigeria, urging other businesses to emulate its contributions to the economy.

Olubadan also commended the company for the quality of its products, which, he said, promote healthy living among Nigerians.
He said corporate organisations had an important role to play in addressing unemployment and strengthening the country’s human capital through sustained investments and job creation.

Ladoja urged other companies to follow the example of Seven-Up Bottling Company by contributing meaningfully to employment generation and the overall development of the economy.

Earlier, El-Khalil congratulated Ladoja on his ascension to the throne as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

He said he led the management team of the company to the palace to seek the monarch’s royal blessings and support for the continued smooth operation of the company.
The managing director was accompanied by the General Manager, Mr Rabah Maddah, the Head of Corporate Affairs, Nkem Agboti, and other members of the management team.

Those present during the visit included the Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Abimbola Ajibola; Otun Olubadan, Oba Eddy Oyewole; Otun Balogun, Oba Kolawole Adegbola; Ashipa Olubadan, Oba Salawudeen Amidu Ajibade; Ashipa Balogun, Oba Dauda Abiodun Azees; Ekerin Olubadan, Oba Muritala Adebayo Akande; Ekerin Balogun, Oba Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin, and other traditional chiefs.
