Sporting Lagos are favorites to bag maximum points, but Imama Amapakabo’s Warriors can be a tricky opponent sometimes, and they are going to be ready to fight tooth and nail to at least not drop three points again.

Enyimba seek first win of the season

Enyimba are looking to win their first match of the season as they welcome piss-poor Inter Lagos to Aba. The record nine-time champions of the NPFL are still struggling to break away from last season’s disappointing outing despite managerial changes. Inter Lagos have endured a very difficult start to life in the league in their debut season, losing their opening three matches. The trend is likely to continue on Sunday afternoon because, on paper and on the pitch, the fixture is a David and Goliath fight. The latter should not even think that throwing stones with a sling will win this kind of match. However, surprises are very welcome.

Rivers United, despite their disappointing exit from the CAF Champions League, have had a good start to the season, winning the two matches they have been involved in. However, those matches have been won on their home ground, and they will need to put up a stern fight to aviod losing at Nasarawa United. The Pride of Rivers are on a run of seven consecutive losses on the road, and their last visist to Nasarawa United ended in a 4-1 loss. Finidi George’s men will have to up the ante if they are to avoid defeat at least.
