…Students win N100,000 during APC quiz competition

Youths in Akoko North West Local Council Area of Ondo State have emphasised the need for cohesion within political ranks, youth development and active involvement in the political and socio-economic development of Nigeria.

The call was made during a Youth Summit organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Leader in Akoko North West, Mustapha Busari.

The summit brought together party leaders, youths, students, educators and other stakeholders, with discussions centred on entrepreneurship, party unity and constructive engagement as essential elements within the council, Ondo State and Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, Mustapha expressed appreciation to party leaders, members and residents for their continued support for the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

He stressed the importance of unity within the party, describing it as essential to sustaining the APC’s programmes, strengthening its grassroots structure and fostering effective engagement among members.

The youth leader also urged young people to shun drug abuse, pursue education, acquire relevant skills and embrace entrepreneurship as pathways to personal development, self-reliance and economic independence.

He commended the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his contributions to youth development and empowerment in the state, particularly in Akoko North West, as well as his support for the Tinubu administration.

He noted that sustained investment in youth was essential to the future development of Akoko North West and the state, urging youths to take advantage of available opportunities to build their skills and contribute meaningfully to society.

The APC Chairman of Akoko North West Local Government, Kehinde Obanla, who was represented at the summit by Bola Salami, commended Mustapha for organising the initiative.

He urged party members and residents to sustain their support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The member representing Akoko North West Constituency I in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Fatai Atere, who is seeking re-election for a second term, appreciated the people for their support for the APC-led government and called for continued support for the party.

The Director-General of BTO4PBAT, Adesuyi Adojutelegan, stated that the APC remained committed to a development agenda for Nigeria and urged party members to remain united, focused and committed to the party’s objectives.

Also Idowu Aiyegbusi emphasised the importance of party unity, stressing that cohesion among members was essential to strengthening the party and ensuring effective preparations for forthcoming elections.

During the summit an inter-school quiz competition involving students from Constituency 1 and Constituency 2 in the Akoko North West Local Government Area was held, with students representing Constituency 1 emerging as winners and receiving a cash prize of N100,000.
