EiE partners Story Story 2.0 to spark leadership conversations on Independence Day

Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria

Enough is Enough (EiE) Nigeria is partnering with Story Story 2.0: A Tale of Nigerian Politicians, a live theatre, comedy and music production created by media personality and entertainment entrepreneur Timmy Sinclair, popularly known as Trikytee, to mark Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day.
The production will take place on October 1, 2026, using humour, satire, storytelling and music to examine Nigerian politics, leadership and everyday experiences.

The show will explore familiar political characters, campaign promises, controversies and social issues, encouraging audiences to reflect on the country’s leadership and the Nigeria they want to build.

Producer Timmy Sinclair said the production was designed to turn everyday Nigerian experiences into stories that could entertain audiences while encouraging reflection.
“Story Story is about our reality,” Sinclair said. “The things Nigerians experience every day — the politics, the promises, the characters, the frustrations and even the absurdity — become stories that we can laugh about, but also think about.”

He said staging the production on Independence Day would provide an opportunity to reflect on Nigeria’s progress, challenges and aspirations.
EiE said the partnership would take conversations about citizenship and leadership beyond traditional civic spaces and into popular culture, entertainment and storytelling, particularly among young Nigerians.

With the 2027 elections approaching, the organisation said conversations around leadership, accountability and the country’s future would become increasingly important.
The Executive Director of EiE Nigeria, Ufuoma Nnamdi-Udeh, said civic participation extended beyond election day to include the questions citizens ask, the standards they set for leaders and conversations about the country they want.

“Civic participation is not only about what happens on election day. It is also about the questions citizens ask, the standards they set for leadership and the conversations they have about the kind of country they want,” Nnamdi-Udeh said.
She said the partnership reflected EiE’s approach of using entertainment and popular culture to educate, engage and mobilise young Nigerians.

The organisers said the conversation would continue beyond the October 1 production, with opportunities for ideas and perspectives generated around the show to reach wider audiences.
Story Story 2.0 is a non-partisan production and does not endorse any political party, candidate or politician. The organisers said the production seeks to reflect Nigeria’s political realities, hopes, frustrations and aspirations through humour, satire, music and storytelling.
