UK-based Nigerian product designer, Adekunle expands portfolio across AI, Fintech, international markets

Artificial intelligence, AI

NIGERIAN-BORN product designer and digital strategist, Oladosu Ibrahim Adekunle, currently based in the United Kingdom, has been broadening his influence in the tech industry through the creation of impactful digital products for both emerging companies and established technology firms across Africa, Europe and North America.

Adekunle, who specialises in crafting AI-powered platforms, financial technology solutions, SaaS products and commerce experiences, handles the entire product journey from early user flows and wireframes to full-scale design systems used by engineering teams, a development that has distinguished him among peers.

Currently the Product Designer at Trussell’s Camden Foodbank, U.K, Adekunle is responsible for designing the organisation’s operational management platform and its unified design system, which is designed to streamline foodbank operations, improve volunteer coordination and enhance support for vulnerable communities.

Before joining Camden Foodbank, Adekunle led UX/UI design at Xenet AI, where he spearheaded the product experience for Yodoo, an AI chat platform that enables users to interact with GPT, Claude and various open-source models in one interface. His role focused on making complex multi-model AI interactions more intuitive and user-friendly.

Earlier in his career, he worked with Revent Technologies, where he was part of the team that designed digital banking tools and financial products for major financial institutions including Zenith Bank, Providus Bank and Afreximbank.

He also contributed to Flowmono, an AI Workflow Operating System that connects automation, eSignatures and procurement into one enterprise platform, enabling businesses to move from request to approval, signing and procurement in a single, automated workflow.

Based in the city of London, his areas of expertise include AI product design, fintech and banking product development, SaaS and commerce design, mobile app design, design systems, user research and end-to-end product strategy.

Speaking on his long-term vision, Adekunle said he is focused on developing globally competitive products that merge innovation with real-world usability, while positioning African talent as a key force in the international technology space.

“My goal is to build exceptional, human-centred products that work at scale, and to show that African designers can lead and compete anywhere in the world”, he said.

As demand for AI and fintech solutions accelerates worldwide, Nigerian creative and technical professionals in the diaspora are playing an increasingly vital role in shaping products used across diverse markets, which highlights Africa’s expanding impact on the global technology landscape.
