Palmer addresses internet connectivity in maritime, aviation, businesses

Paul Onose

Palmer Technologies, through its connectivity solutions platform, WiFistore.ng, is addressing internet connectivity challenges across maritime and aviation operations, homes, businesses and specialised environments, by helping customers identify suitable internet services, equipment and network configurations for their needs.

The platform caters to maritime and aviation connectivity needs, where conventional networking solutions may be insufficient.

At sea, satellite services can provide internet access beyond the reach of terrestrial networks, while vessel and aircraft deployments require specialised equipment, appropriate installation and network configurations suited to their operating environments.

For residential customers, WiFistore.ng helps determine whether connectivity issues stem from the internet service or limitations within the home network, with solutions ranging from improved router placement to additional access points and cabling.

For businesses, the platform supports network configurations that accommodate connected devices, staff activities, and shared applications, alongside coverage, maintenance, and backup connectivity requirements to support daily operations during periods of high usage.

Speaking on the platform’s approach, Product Manager at Palmer Technologies, Paul Onose, noted that effective connectivity depends on understanding the specific requirements of each environment rather than focusing solely on internet speed.

He said across these settings, WiFistore.ng encourages customers to consider installation costs, recurring service charges, expected coverage and available technical support when selecting connectivity solutions.

Onose said the platform’s approach focuses on matching equipment and services to actual usage needs to help customers avoid unsuitable purchases and repeated troubleshooting.

“Reliable connectivity goes beyond choosing an internet provider or subscribing to a faster plan. It requires the right combination of internet service, equipment and network configuration to meet the needs of the user.

“By understanding the challenges customers face in their homes, businesses and specialised operating environments, we can help them make more informed decisions about the solutions best suited to their requirements,” he said
