The National Brigade for Progressives (NBP) has presented its comprehensive mobilisation and campaign action plan for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, outlining a grassroots strategy covering 8,809 wards and 176,846 polling units across the country.
The plan was presented yesterday by the Brigade’s National Commandant, Ezrel Tabiowo, and other members of its leadership during a meeting with the Director of Support Groups Mobilisation at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Silas Agara, at the Council’s headquarters in Abuja.
The proposed action plan details the Brigade’s mobilisation strategy, command structure and operational budget for a four-month campaign cycle spanning October 2026 to January 2027.
The meeting, initiated by the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, was convened to establish an interface between the Brigade’s national leadership and the Council, as well as discuss the group’s proposed role within the campaign’s broader mobilisation architecture ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking during the meeting, Tabiowo expressed appreciation to Yari for facilitating the engagement, describing it as a demonstration of the Council’s commitment to coordinating support groups and harmonising their activities ahead of the elections.
He said the Brigade was committed to supporting Tinubu’s re-election bid through an organised, disciplined and accountable mobilisation structure capable of reaching communities at the grassroots.
“The National Brigade for Progressives was founded on the principles of Service, Sacrifice and Progress.
“We do not seek to operate independently. We seek to serve as a disciplined, verifiable and results-oriented component of the President’s re-election campaign, and we are grateful to the Director for receiving us,” Tabiowo added.
According to the Brigade, its proposed operational framework is designed to establish clear lines of command and coordination across the country, with ward-level structures expected to serve as the foundation for its mobilisation activities.
The four-month operational cycle outlined in the document is expected to guide the group’s activities from October 2026 through January 2027, with the proposed budget providing a framework for implementing its campaign programme.
The plan was submitted for consideration by the Presidential Campaign Council as part of efforts to align the activities of political support groups with the Council’s overall mobilisation strategy.
Receiving the delegation, Agara commended the Brigade for presenting a structured approach to political mobilisation and reiterated the Council’s commitment to engaging organised and accountable support groups.
He said effective coordination and grassroots engagement would be essential to the campaign, stressing the need for groups to work within an organised framework rather than pursue fragmented activities.
Agara noted that the Council was committed to building a coordinated mobilisation network capable of bringing together the various support groups working towards Tinubu’s re-election.
He assured the delegation that the submitted Campaign Action Plan would be reviewed and that further engagements would be held to determine the next steps.
The engagement forms part of consultations between the Campaign Council and support groups seeking to contribute to the APC’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
