Groups unite for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid

The Tinubu Support Group and the Global Alliance for Tinubu Campaign have agreed to work together for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential poll.

This was made known in a statement signed by the Deputy Director of Field Operations of the Global Alliance for Tinubu Campaign, Kingsley Akamabe, and made available to journalists.

According to the statement, the two campaign organisations agreed to adopt a multi-pronged strategy to secure victory for Tinubu.

The statement said the National Coordinator of the Global Alliance for Tinubu Campaign, Dr Abubakar Jimoh, made this known during a courtesy visit to the Director-General of TSG, Dr Umar Tanko Yakassai, at his campaign office in Abuja.

Jimoh said, “Our campaign programmes will be issues-oriented, focusing on the landmark achievements of President Tinubu in the last three years rather than political sloganeering and razzmatazz.”

He added that both organisations would involve Nigerians in the diaspora in the campaign.

“We will leverage the huge potential of Nigerians in the diaspora under the aegis of the Global Convener, Prince Bevis Paul Igbinoba,” Jimoh said.

He urged eligible voters to renew Tinubu’s mandate to allow him complete the economic gains of his reforms and the Renewed Hope agenda.

Yakassai, in his remarks, reaffirmed his commitment to building TSG into a pan-Nigerian campaign organisation for Tinubu’s re-election.

He said, “We are committed to building TSG into a pan-Nigerian campaign organisation that will serve as a veritable vehicle for the re-election of President Tinubu.”

Yakassai also said TSG was ready to work with all pro-Tinubu campaign groups.

“We are willing to work with all shades of pro-Tinubu campaign groups because of our common goals and desire to ensure the re-election of President Tinubu,” he said.

He also praised the Global Alliance for Tinubu Campaign’s plan to mobilise five million votes through grassroots mobilisation nationwide.
