Sir: From the beginning, origin of life and existence, parents have taken the rank of demigods in human history. Parents are both the physical and spiritual representation of the Almighty God in the lives of their children in this terrestrial world.

Iya ni wura iyebiye, ti a ko le fi owo ra! is an ancestral statement among the Yorubas, meaning, “Mothers are gold and jewelry of inestimable value to the children.”

“Baba ni jigi!” meaning, “Father is the mirror of our lives!” The interpretation of fathers as the ‘mirror’ of our lives also goes a long way to show the priceless and inestimable value and nature of fathers too. Procreation comes from the father, down to the mother, and this explains plainly the all-important nature of our parents.

None among them should be relegated to the background or treated with ignominy or worthless and undeserving attitude by the children.

Treating parents with abandonment, disregard, wickedness, disrespect and callous behaviour is a big sin of terrible and monstrous consequences in the sight and presence of the Almighty God.

Treat your parents with love, kindness, humility and mercy so that your days can be long in the land of the living and so you can receive divine favour from God.

Adhere and stick to all these rules so you can be successful and happy in life without hitches and troubles in all your mundane endeavours.

The Karmic forces and judgment even goes beyond parents.

Respect elders and other people you relate with generally.

Treat them well because you can never tell when you would need their help and assistance as you journey through life.

Whatever you give fellow human beings would certainly boomerang and fall back on you. Don’t doubt these rules and witty aphorisms as they are strong and sacred philosophy about life and living.

Live a life devoid and free of wickedness, rudeness, sauciness and cruelty to fellow human beings because there is always payback time for all our actions here on planet earth.
