Dr. Foladavid brings together over 1,000 children in Lagos for a world record attempt celebrating creativity, inclusion and the power of collective possibility.

Lagos, Nigeria | 3 November 2026 — On Wednesday, 11 November 2026, Onikan Stadium, Lagos, will become a canvas for imagination as Colors of Possibility, conceived by Nigerian medical doctor, visual artist and Guinness World Record holder Dr. Foladavid, brings together over 1,000 children to attempt a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD™️ for the largest fabric marbling painting.

Set to become Africa’s biggest art event, Colors of Possibility will unite children, educators, artists, entertainers, public institutions and corporate partners around one shared purpose: giving the next generation a platform to create, belong and dream without limits.

At the centre of the event is a remarkable act of collaboration. Children from participating schools across Lagos will work together with Dr Foladavid on one continuous stretch of fabric, creating a monumental artwork through fabric marbling, a process in which colours float on a prepared liquid surface before being transferred onto fabric.

Every contribution will become part of a larger composition, showing what can happen when individual imagination meets collective effort.

The project places inclusion at its heart, with children with special needs also participating. Preparatory marbling sessions have introduced participating pupils to the technique, building their confidence ahead of the attempt.

Beyond the artwork, Colors of Possibility will bring together live performances, special appearances and creative experiences designed to celebrate the children and the possibilities ahead of them. The event invites families, supporters and the wider public to show up for young people and recognise creativity as an essential part of their development.

Powered by 78MFB, the initiative also features the ₦10 million Bank78 Creative Fund, extending its vision beyond the event through support for creative potential.

Colors of Possibility builds on Dr. Foladavid’s commitment to using art to connect people and spark meaningful conversations. His 2024 work, Unity in Diversity, earned him the Guinness World Record for the largest drawing by an individual and celebrated Nigeria’s cultural richness. This new undertaking places children at the centre of that spirit of connection.

Over 1,000 Children. One World Record Attempt. Endless Possibilities.
