Mouka

The international women programme of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, titled: “Woman: Thou Has Found Favour With God,” held at the church’s headquarters in Ijesha, Lagos from October 24 to 25, bought together Chosen women from far and near including the Lagos State Deputy Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for 2027, Damilola Sonayon-James, who was represented at the event by Florence Nkoli Nnakife, the Supervisor for Humanitarian Service in Oriade LCDA.

Nnakife was accompanied by her Special Assistants Mary Jane Okafor and Mrs Angela Akiogu.

Deliveringher goodwill message, Damilola Sonayon-Jamescommended the leadership of the church and the good work the church is doing to save souls and make women to recognise their place in the kingdom of God.

She also applauded the choice of the theme, and described the Chosen women as highly favoured, stressing that the Bible is full of favoured women who at one time or the other did exploits for the Lord.

She cited Mary the mother of Jesus Christ, Deborah, a mother and prophetess who gave Israel victory and Hannah as women in the Bible who changed history.

Sonayon-James noted that Chosen women were not different.

“And in the course of this theme, you are going to change history and by reason of your being here today your story will change to greatness,” Sonayon-James said.

She said that Mary was the mother of the Saviour of the world and was highly favoured. She commended her for accepting God’s prophecy, which changed her life.

In the case of Hannah, Sonayon-James said her shame was turned to joy and prayed that everyone woman’s shame must be turned to joy.

The deputy governorship candidate promised that come 2027, the women would economically be empowered under the administration of her principal, Dr Obafemi Hamzat.

According to her, “women, I understand your pains and aspirations in Lagos State and therefore, the government under the leadership of Dr Obafemi Hamzat will ensure that women are economically empowered come 2027, through soft loans and grants to market women, support for women and equally ensure that children in Lagos State enjoyequality education.

Assuring Lagosians of security of lives and property, Sonayon-James said women would be given a voice if the duo are voted into power.

She urged Chosen women to pray for her and her principal so that God will give them victory in 2027. The church actually prayed and handed the two APC aspirants and their representatives to God, saying that God will grant them their requests.

Also in her sermon, wife the General Overseer, Mummy G.O. Pastor (Mrs) Mary Muoka, who spoke on the theme: “Women Of Favour” took her text from Luke 1:26; Prov. 31:10; 22:6; Matt 16:18, said Chosen women are favoured to be holy and to be the mother of all the living.

She explained that God placed a great value on the women and enjoined them to work hard to actualise the blessings of God in their lives.

She urged the Christian mothers to use their positions to glorify and honour God by being a blessing to their homes.

“Bringing joy, favour and spiritual upliftment to him. Women are highly favoured and as a result they should be a blessing to our husbands, children, families and the nation at large in our life time.”

Underscoring their role, Mummy G.O. admonished them to be careful in their families and ensure that their children are subject to them and obey them in everything.

She added that they should train their children in the way of the Lord and ensure that their homes and families are Godly.

She stated further that as virtuous women, they are expected to be God-fearing and most importantly live as Chosen women, stressing that leadership by example is very important.

She said if they do what God asked them to do their homes would be peaceful and enjoy the presence of God.

“Every household is to be built and deeply moulded by God’s word and His commandment and that is what God expects from us, as woman of favour. A man is the man of the household while the woman is the backbone of the man. We must be humble, holy, peaceful and Godly,” Mary Muoka said.

She urged the women to be prayerful, care for the communities around them, seek God’s word, teach them and do them, assuring them that they will be a blessing to the church, the nation and the society at large.

She added that as they structure their households to be deeply rooted in God, God will give them what it takes to be a woman of favour.

In the same vein, General Overseer, Pastor Lazarus Muoka in his message, titled: “Woman: Thou Has Found Favour With God” lamented that many women lacked God’s favour simply because they lacked the knowledge of God and His word. He said it would be difficult for such women to claim what belonged to them.

He, however, said they should rejoice for attending the event, assuring them that God would open their eyes to see what they had been missing.

Muoka used Mary the mother of Jesus Christ as an example of a favoured woman. He said Mary was favoured because all her lifestyle was holy and pure. He assured every attendee that God would favour them if they emulate Mary’s lifestyle, live holy and righteous.

He described women asspecial creatures in God’s sight, adding that they were created to assist the men.

“No matter what a man has without a woman he is incomplete like Adam before God brought Eve to be his wife. No matter the position of the man in life, without a woman such as a person is incomplete. When Adam was alone he was incomplete until God gave him the bone of his bone, and flesh of his flesh. Adam said now is my fulfillment. Now, I am a complete man,” Muoka said.

He confessed that at a time he was not complete without a woman.

Muoka said: “At a point in time, I was nobody without a woman and I felt the vacuum. That was the case of Adam in the Garden of Eden. A woman supplements what is lacking in men.”

He said every man that is celebrated in the world today is born of a woman including the Lord Jesus Christ. He said women had unimaginable favour with God and should expect God’s favour and other blessings, especially as they become true children of God like Mary.
