The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Lagos Chapter, has launched a comprehensive grassroots mobilisation drive across the Badagry Federation ahead of the 2027 general elections, inaugurating 4,120 polling unit ambassadors alongside a dedicated campaign secretariat and fleet of operational vehicles.

The inauguration, held in Badagry on Friday, drew key political stakeholders from across the division, including the chairmen of the three local council areas, state and federal lawmakers, candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), traditional rulers, religious figures and community youth leaders.

Addressing the gathering on behalf of Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the APC governorship candidate for Lagos State, the deputy governorship candidate, Damilola James-Sonayon, assured residents that the commitments outlined in The Lagos Promise manifesto would be systematically implemented under a Hamzat-led administration.

James-Sonayon outlined plans to decentralise public service delivery and establish regular town hall forums across the state to maintain a direct line of communication with local communities.

“Our proposed administration will ensure that every community feels the tangible impact of good governance through inclusive policies and effective service delivery,” she said, appealing to party members to maintain unity as campaign activities intensify.

The Chief of Staff to the Lagos State Governor and RHA State Coordinator, Tayo Ayinde, alongside James-Sonayon, formally commissioned the new campaign headquarters and operational vehicles. Ayinde urged the newly appointed coordinators to deepen community engagement and maintain open dialogue with voters in their respective wards.

“These ambassadors have been briefed on their core responsibilities and are holding regular strategic sessions with their respective directorates to ensure coherent coordination across all units,” Layode said.
