The newly installed spiritual father of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church worldwide, Pastor Gabriel Olayinka Kassim, has urged Nigerian political leaders to eschew self-centeredness for improved growth and progress of the country.

He told journalists immediately after his installation as the seventh Baba Aladura of the Church in Galilee Land, Orile Igbon, Oyo state.

According to him, politicians should be concerned about better future of the country rather than personal gain, “because whatever you sow, that’s what you reap”.

Convinced that polittics is not a dirty game after all, the C&S Movement Church leader charged politicians to be faithful in all that they do.

“Politics is not a dirty game, because it’s through politics we have government and those in the opposition. And without opposition, government cannot run properly. So, politicians should be faithful in what they do. They should follow good examples and not those who are doing it wrongly”, he said.

The spiritual father described the youths as leaders of tomorrow, admonishing them not to dwell on shortcomings of the present government, but to be determined to be faithful should they be the ones chosen to be there.

“Those kidnapping for ransom and money are looking for personal gains. They should know that everything we have and need depends on God,” he noted.
