This call was made at the professional counsellors’ summit held in Lagos at the weekend, which was aimed at equipping counsellors with tips to balance the roles of a therapist in nation-building.
Founder, Attitude Development international (AID), Timi Oyebode, who spoke at the event, said it is necessary for any intending and practising colleagues to conform to the ethics that guide the counselling profession if they desire growth in their craft.
Oyebode also spoke about the challenges in starting and building a career in the counselling profession, urging the participants to remain steadfast in their duties in building a healthy society.
