Oba Saheed Elegushi and his first wife, Olori Sekinat Aramide, celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary a few days ago. The celebration is coming a few weeks after Elegushi got married to his second wife, Hadiza Tanko Yakasai, from Kano State.

Elegushi, in his message to Sekinat, said: “Your love is the strength that drives me to do everything for this family. You are the armour that shields me from the tears.

“Happy 16th (sic) years wedding anniversary.’’

Further checks confirmed that Sekinat is still very much in charge of the palace, as she is regarded as the apple of the king’s eye, even with the entrance of a new wife into the royal family.
