
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has warned intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia against offenses that carry death penalty.The governor, who gave the warning yesterday at the farewell ceremony for the state’s intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia at Hajj Camp, Ibadan, admonished them to be good ambassadors of the state and Nigeria at large while in Saudi Arabia.
Chairman, Oyo State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (Muslim Wing), Prof. Ayantunde Malik, who promised that the pilgrims would be well taken care of in Saudi Arabia Kingdom, however, appreciated the Passport Controller Officer, Alhaji Abdulkadir Sule Garo, for his efforts in ensuring that all the intending pilgrims received their international passports before July 15.
