ABU develops prototype refinery

EMMANUEL says: “That is good, they are doing some kind of research and building prototype. All Nigeria needs is to import the technology and process, slight adaptation and begin using it. Most western countries had to develop the technology, spend money testing it and implementing it, deal with some of the negative effects. There are modular refineries that can be purchased and imported for moderate price in less than 9 months.’’

Govt may earn N2.5b

One of the things Nigerians worry about is the waste of revenue collected by the government. What would this money be used for? If the government can effectively determine what this money would be used for, of if they direct this money to be used for one specific thing, Nigerian’s would be willing to pay this. Also there is a huge need to cut spending by the government. The current budget by MDAs is filled with useless expenditure that doesn’t make sense and is not needed in a time of limited resources. Our budget is not about change, it about increasing allocation for the same useless expenditure by MDAs.‘’

Chidi: “Nigerians certainly can bear this but government must show goodwill by providing crystal clear transparency in tax administration and expenditure. It must move away from brazen misappropriation and embezzlement.’’
