China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Africa has inducted new members into its Nigeria Alumni Chapter.
The induction ceremony, which held in Lagos, also witnessed the chapter launch a new alumni website built to deepen connections across its growing community of business leaders.
CEIBS has more than 33,000 alumni across 91 countries.
The Nigeria Alumni President, Omoyemi Chukwurah, welcomed the new inductees and said the website provides the chapter with a permanent home for mentorship, collaboration, and business introductions among members.
The school’s Executive Director, Prof. Gordon Adomdza, explained that CEIBS exists to give African executives a complete view of global business that draws on both Western practice and the innovation now coming from the East.
“We aim to provide excellent executive education, helping participants understand best practices, global best practices, but also what is next through a China lens,” Adomdza said.
He said a lot of the innovation and technology today is coming from the East, which gives executives a more complete exposure to global business trends.
The Country Manager for CEIBS Africa in Nigeria, Saidat Lawal-Mohammed, described the school’s programmes as practical and designed for immediate use in participants’ businesses.
She explained that the China immersion module gives participants direct exposure to how Chinese companies grew, beyond classroom theory.
With the induction and the new website, the Nigeria chapter now has a standing platform to connect its members and tie them into the school’s networks in Ghana and China
