In commemoration of this year’s International Human Resource (HR) Day, the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) has organised a four-kilometre HR Walk to celebrate professionals in the sector.

President and Chairman of the Governing Council, CIPM, Olusegun Mojeed, said the day, marked every May 20, was to appreciate and celebrate the invaluable contributions of HR professionals in shaping the workforce.

He said HR professionals have enhanced employee well-being, driven organisational success and propelled the profession to new heights. Mojeed urged HR practitioners to reflect on the incredible strides they had made in the country and their impact on the lives of employees and organisations.

He said the walk was to reaffirm the institute’s commitment to continuous learning, professional development and staying abreast of evolving global trends and best practices.

According to him, the purpose of the corporate walk is to foster members’ well-being. At the walk, members were provided with free medical checks.
