Dr. Victor Adekunle has been honored by the National Association of University Students (NAUS) with the National Outstanding Leadership Award as an Icon of Humanity & Societal Transformation. NAUS, which represents over 25 million Nigerian students both at home and abroad, recognized Dr. Adekunle for his remarkable contributions to data analytics education and skill development.
The organization, known for promoting quality education and good governance, highlighted Dr. Adekunle’s efforts in “democratizing opportunities in the data analytics job market” through his firm, Vivid Explorer. NAUS, which has consultative relationships with ECOWAS, UNICEF, and UNESCO, described him as a leader whose consistent actions and impact have placed his name in the sands of time.
In response to the recognition, Dr. Adekunle expressed his gratitude, calling the award “an incredible honor from a body that represents the future of this Nigeria.” He commended NAUS for celebrating the importance of skill-based learning, noting, “Education goes beyond the four walls of a classroom; it thrives when students get real-world exposure and opportunities to innovate.”
Dr. Adekunle, an analytics engineer at Creditsafe in the UK, explained that Vivid Explorer’s mission is to make advanced data analytics tools and training accessible to everyone. “We believe in equipping young people with the problem-solving skills that can drive societal change,” he said.
